Guide to Guys: the movie
The genius of Dave Barry comes to the movies. From his bestselling book, The Complete Guide to Guys, Dave takes it to the next level with the G2G the movie. Here is the G2G trailer. If the movie is half a funny as the trailer, then it will be worth seeing. This movie also stars John Cleese, of Monty Python fame.
My Review: I have not seen this movie. This is not an intellectual film that you will gain anything form. It will not win an Oscar. If you need a laugh and get the Guy Humor, then I would suggest to check it out. If stupid B movies are not your thing, then I would not waste your time.

Coming Soon: "CSA: Confederate States of America"
Recommendation by Fat Jack
My Prediction: Great
Coming Soon to The Moxie
Released in Theatres in 2005
On DVD August 8, 2006
Unrated
Directed by: Kevin Willmott
Starring: Greg Kirsch, Renee Patrick, and Molly Graham
Rotten Tomatoes: 80% fresh
IMDb: 6.7 stars out of 10
Netflix: 3.5 stars out of 5
What would our country be like if the South had won the Civil War? That is the central theme of the mocumentary, “CSA: The Confederate States of America.” It looks disturbingly and irreverently humorous. Just imagine the new TV station, Slave Shopping Network, where you can purchase a product (a slave). You really need to see the trailer to grasp this movie. SLAVE SHOPPING NETWORK: So, let’s start with Jupiter and his family. Versatility is key with Jupiter. He’s healthy, well mannered, loyal, smart but not uppity. Oh, and what a litter of pick-a-ninny’s she’s had. As with all SSN products, we can either break up Jupiter’s family for you, or you can have them as a set. So, let the bidding begin.
NARRATOR: Watch subjugation at its finest, and the master race rise to unprecedented heights.

The movie quotes are here, I am somebody
To misquote the Jerk, "The movie quotes are here, the movie quotes are here, I am somebody!" As you may have picked up from Bryan's post below, we have a link up for our movie quotes. There is a hyper link on the right hand side called Inconceivable Movie Quotes!. Please check out what we posted and let us know if we need to add other quotes. We hope to have some surveys on the site soon so we can make our own top 100 list with the help of our readers. Bryan , Fat Jack , and I have been working hard on this and are happy to finally have it up and going. We found it impossible to actually post all of our lists on the blog so we had to link it over from a Google page. I hope you enjoy. Please give us some feed back on this.
Ok... Quit griping guys... The list exists finally!
After a long and drawn out development process, meaning I finally got a chance to get around to doing it, we have at least a preliminary list of some of our favorite movie quotes.
Inconceivable!
The list exists here... and is hosted on the Google Pages beta site. I will apologize ahead of time for any errors/issues/misspellings/quote mistakes that may have, and probably have, cropped up in the translation from Word to Web.
And yes guys, meaning Larry and Chris... I finally got it done!

Mini-Review: "Hard Candy"
Review by Fat Jack
4 stars out of 5
Now Playing at The Moxie
Rated R
Directed by: David Slade
Starring: Patrick Wilson, Ellen Page, Sandra Oh, Odessa Rae, and Gilbert John
IMDb: 7.3 stars out of 10
Roger Ebert: 3.5 stars out of 4
Rotten Tomatoes: 65% fresh
Netflix: 3.7 stars out of 5
Entertain Me: B+
Judas Priest! This is a real thriller.
My friends and I were sitting at The Moxie and co-owner, Dan, cam on stage to tell us about this and other up-coming movies. “Intense” and “disturbing” were the words used to describe the film, at which point Linda leaned over to me and said, “This is right up your alley.” Yes, indeed., it was. By the way, you need to know that IMDb reports that the term "hard candy" is a slang internet term for an underage girl.
“Hard Candy” appears to be the story of an older man who seeks out a 14-year-old girl on the Internet. Their meeting at a neutral place changes when she invites herself to his home. The rest of the story is not what you expect.
The story is solid. The acting is unbelievable. The questions that arise at the end are enough to satisfy the moviegoer seeking out that high quality, stinging thriller. Taking place almost entirely in his home, the movie relies on acting and story, rather than special effects. Indeed, the gore was beautifully, artistically hidden. Intense is exactly what we got, and I have to tell you that my friends and I spent the next hour discussing just how hard the candy was. (view trailer) (see official site)

HAYLEY: “I bet whatever you have is so juicy it needs it’s own little cubby hole, isn’t that right, Jeff?”
